Have you ever been struck by random thoughts about statistics or your experience as a statistics student or postdoc?
Turn your observations—the ones that would make your peers smile or nod their heads in recognition—into a meme and you could win a prize of $300, $200, or $100 in CANSSI’s first-ever What Do You Meme? contest.
The contest rules, as well as tools to help you create your meme, are posted below. Submit your entry by midnight on Sunday, September 24, 2023. As a bonus, the first 30 entrants will receive a FREE $10 gift card!
If you have questions, please contact us at info@canssi.ca.
Who Can Enter
The contest is open to all undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a statistics or statistics-related program at a Canadian university, as well as postdocs working in statistics, biostatistics, data science, and actuarial science.
By entering the contest, you agree to allow your entry to be posted on the CANSSI website and shared through other communication channels along with your name and affiliation.
The Challenge
We invite you to create and submit an original meme (just one!) consisting of an image with text related to or commenting on statistics, a statistics concept, or your experience as a statistics student or postdoc.
Entries will be judged on their creativity, originality, and humour.
Contest Deadline
The deadline for submitting your meme is midnight on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Image Requirements
The meme you submit should consist of an image incorporating text that relates to or comments on statistics, a statistics concept, or your experience as a statistics student or postdoc, and conforming to the following specifications:
