CANSSI Ontario Postdoctoral Fellowship in Statistics
A complement to the CANSSI Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships program
This partnership between CANSSI and CANSSI Ontario supports a two-year statistics-centred research and training experience at a CANSSI Ontario partner university. It shares the same application process as the CANSSI Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships (CDPF) program and offers the same benefits.

Overview
The CANSSI Ontario Postdoctoral Fellowship in Statistics is offered in conjunction with CANSSI’s flagship CANSSI Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships program. The CANSSI Ontario fellowship is open to applicants with a recent PhD in actuarial sciences, biostatistics, data science, or statistics, uses the same application process as the CDPF program, and provides the same benefits. The only difference between the two programs is that for the CANSSI Ontario program, both supervisors must be based in Ontario.
The CDPF program offers a salary of $70,000 per year over two years for a comprehensive statistics-centred training experience that includes a research project co-supervised by researchers at two different CANSSI member institutions.
CDPF applicants choose their preferred research projects from a list of project proposals submitted by researchers. Applicants who choose projects co-supervised by researchers who are both situated at CANSSI Ontario partner universities or their affiliated research institutes are automatically considered for the CANSSI Ontario Postdoctoral Fellowship in Statistics.
How to Apply
Faculty members are invited to submit project proposals for the next funding period by October 30, 2024.
Recent PhD applicants are invited to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship between November 22, 2024, and January 25, 2025.
